Playing Love (Ennio Morricone)

When Novecento, the character of Giuseppe Tornatore‘s movie “The legend of the pianist on the ocean” looks out the ship’s window while playing the piano and sees a girl strolling, falls in love suddenly.

The occasionally aimless improvisation makes way for this warm and encompassing tune that emerges from the depths of the spirit at that particular moment.

“A movie that combines two of my greatest loves, the piano and the sea, and has always impacted me since music’s power to depict people, things, and feelings via sound is truly beautiful.”

Ennio Morricone, who won a Golden Globe for best score for this movie, was a musical genius whose soundtracks have become legendary.
